Granted annually to Brazilian surgeons whose work was considered the best article published in the Journal of the Brazilian College of Surgeons during the previous year.
The award consists of a medal and a certificate.
Submission and Approval
The submitted works must be original and may be collaborative. The work must have been published in the Journal of the Brazilian College of Surgeons in the year preceding the award.
Only one work shall receive the award; however, honorable mentions may be granted to other works deemed deserving.
The Judging Committee shall be organized by the Director of Publications and composed of three (3) TCBC members.
The Committee shall have a period of sixty (60) days prior to the award ceremony (held in July each year) to issue its opinion and submit it to the President of the CBC.
The selected recipient of the award must be approved by the National Board, and the decision shall be formally recorded in the minutes and duly signed.
Award Ceremony
The award shall be presented during the CBC Anniversary Solemn Session.
The author shall receive a certificate and medal, while co-authors shall receive certificates only.
